1 ounce is the global standard. It can be easily resold anywhere in the world — at a store or to a private investor.
Any weight from 1 g to 1 ounce is compact — it can be stored at home in a safe. Larger bars are recommended to be stored in a bank safe deposit box.
Every bar has an assay mark, an individual serial number, and a certificate from the refinery (Valcambi, C. Hafner, Argor‑Heraeus). Upon collection at the store, we weigh the bar in front of you.
Short-term fluctuations always exist. But over a 5–10 year horizon, gold steadily rises — over the last 20 years, the price has increased 8–10 times. Thus, the value of your bar will grow over the years.
